Quantafuel’s first commercial production facility is located in Skive, Denmark. The chemical recycling plant is the first of its kind in the world and is a major milestone for the company.
The factory is presently scaled to process 20,000 tonnes of mixed plastic waste per year. The plastic feedstock, primarily household waste from Denmark & Norway, would otherwise be incinerated or disposed of in landfills.
All liquid products manufactured in Skive will be shipped to BASF, who will upgrade the recycled material to new plastic products and chemicals, creating a circular economy for plastic waste.
Quantafuel’s Plastic-to-liquid (Ptl) plant in Skive is the first of its kind in the world.
In 2020 we began the production of chemically-recycled plastic waste in our first commercial plant in Skive, Denmark. Building further on the experience gained in Skive, scaling our organisation and following the ambitions targets on recycling in the EU, Quantafuel is ready to take on Europe.
We are also developing new technologies to further expand the waste resources going into our plants and conduct projects together with leading companies with strong ambitions to increase the recycled content in their consumer products.
