Quantafuel’s management group comprises seven experienced and qualified leaders.
Kjetil Bøhn, CEO, is the founder and former CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Agrinos AS, a leading biology company within the agricultural sector with 150 employees in 10 countries. Bøhn has been an entrepreneur for 15 years, and holds a Master’s degree from NHH (Norwegian School of Economics).
Bøhn has extensive international experience from several board positions in Norwegian and international companies, and is a Norwegian citizen living in Oslo.
Chris Lach, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, has more than 20 years’ experience in global commodity as well as specialty chemicals businesses, strategy development, establishing organizational structures, mergers and acquisitions including integration of acquired organizations, and a focus on market-driven innovation.
Lach holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Freiburg.
Lach is a citizen of Germany. Prior to moving to Oslo for his position with Quantafuel, he has lived in Germany, the United States, Hong Kong, and Switzerland.
Flaten, CFO, has more than 20 years of experience from finance management, international oil and gas projects, corporate finance and capital markets, business development and investor relations.
Flaten has held CFO positions in project companies in energy and renewables, and was previously Head of Oil & Gas in Export Credit Norway and Vice President of BW Offshore. Prior to this, he as a financial analyst in Handelsbanken, as well as holding senior roles in corporate consulting and media.
Flaten holds a Master of Science degree from NHH (Norwegian School of Economics), with majors in Finance and Strategy. Flaten is a Norwegian citizen living in Oslo.
Eiken, COO, holds a Master of Science degree in cybernetics from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). From his previous positions as CEO of TechnipFMC Island Offshore Subsea and Vice President Subsea Projects, Eiken has extensive experience in managing complex, international EPC(I) project portfolios, product development and 24/7 operations. He is a Norwegian citizen, living in Kongsberg.
Johansen, SVP Commercial, has extensive international commercial and technical experience. She has previously worked with sales, business development and technical validation of subsea control umbilicals. She has also worked with product development in the automotive sector.
Johansen holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Management from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and is a pursuing an Extramural Doctorate Degree in Leadership at the University of Bradford, UK. Johansen is a Norwegian citizen living in Oslo.
Tharaldsen, SVP Strategy & Sustainability, has extensive experience from the biofuels markets. He has previously worked on introducing second generation synthetic alternative fuels and biofuels to Norway for road transport and industrial heating applications. He contributed to and led the introduction of the first 100% renewable fuel stations in Norway and contributed to establishing the first marine vaessels fully operated on renewable synthetic fuels.
Tharaldsen has a degree in management and strategy from the Norwegian Business School and experience in commercial law from the University of Oslo. Tharaldsen is a Norwegian citizen living in Oslo.
Fareid, VP of R&D, holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). He joined Quantafuel during the commissioning of the demonstration PtL plant in Mexico, and has been involved in the design and development of Quantafuel’s technology ever since.
Prior to joining Quantafuel, Fareid worked as a Laboratory Manager in Norgips, a subsidiary of Knauf Group, with responsibilities in product quality and production processes. Faried is a Norwegian citizen living in Drammen.
